TiTaNz just found one and reported them in the tracker:
gelbooru.com/index.php?page=tracker&s=view&id=513

User: gelbooru.com/index.php?pa...mp;s=profile&id=81478

There is indeed a site bug, as unusual tags can screw up the display of an image.
Anyway, 'gelboot' (#81478) adds tags that a bot could determine apply, such as horizontal, vertical and squared, and occasionally attempts to linkspam with the tag,
src="adserver.juicyads.com/adshow.php?adzone=56666"

But the bot is buggy, and occasionally puts garbage in the tags.
The site will be hit soon enough with a bot that overwrites the source fields successfully, so the old values should be preserved somewhere.

[edit]
Actually, it looks like it occasionally inserts part of the page's source into the tags field by accident. The ad links occur relatively rarely and look like they're corrupted from ones in the Gelbooru page. So maybe it is just a bot to helpfully add the horizontal, vertical & square(d) tags, which unfortunately corrupted the tags on a number of images.

Add tags that cover images with a "notice" from the IWF, seemingly based in the UK, telling people to report sites that have images of children being abused. In essence, trying to ruin loli for the rest of us, except the image I saw was in no way loli. But then I guess these are the same people who call you a pedo because you dare to look at a 17 year old girl sexually if you're older than her.

>lozer leaves for one week
>jokingly tells us not to break the site
>lo and behold, someone comes and breaks the site

Fuck everything.

E: The glitch capable of letting people do that is fixed. Everything is no longer fucked.

* "Helpfully" adding them was slightly sarcastic.

This one appears to be doing the same thing, still occasionally inserting garbage into the tags field, and it racked up 15,520 tag edits in one day.

Accounts really need to have a lower maximum number of tag edits per day until they are considered trusted users, because otherwise it's wide open for bots.

[edit]
gelboot2's edits were made between 2011-05-27 11:52:49 and 03:31:54, so it was strictly over a period of 3 hours 39 minutes, for about 1.18 edits per second.

I'm not seeing a whole lot of poisoning there. In fact, the tags mostly all seem legit... to have so many tags in one day though... I probably am just missing something.

If you look through a few pages of gelboot's edits, it occasionally screws up and inserts some/a ton of garbage into the tags.

There have since been a gelboot3 (gelbooru.com/index.php?pa...mp;s=profile&id=83536 ) and gelboot4 (gelbooru.com/index.php?pa...mp;s=profile&id=83595 ) which seem to be trying to fix garbage edits made by prior versions, along with continuing the horizontal/vertical/squared tagging campaign.

The Terms of Service say,
You will not use any automated process to retrieve or index any portion of the site or site contents, with the exception of public search engines.

It doesn't specifically mention tagging, but the bot must be still be automatically retrieving some data, such as the images, the thumbnails, or the surrounding page to read the "Size" field, in order to determine whether the images are vertical/etc.

WOAH there... what is THIS?

I can see CPMstar running on the pages of those images through noscript. What is it?

I was about to shitflag gelbot2. Thankfully I look here and find it had already been reported.

This blew my mind: post #16926 (leaving it alone for now for demonstration purposes.)

I hope this can maybe be auto-fixed somehow. It'd be a bitch to fix 15,500+ fuck-ups manually.
