Here at Gelbooru, we don't care about what's "more recognized." We care about what's "correct."
In Japan, they don't really spell stuff with Romaji. They use Kanji for that. 遊☆戯☆王 is therefore the correct spelling. Those Kanji are not romanized "yu" and"oh", they're romanized "yuu" and "ou."
We don't care about the western names for ANYTHING. So Yu-Gi-Oh is wrong, Yuu-Gi-Ou is correct.

Well... that's not always true. Dannybooru doesn't always work that way. Their wikis even acknowledge that.
And since Gelbooru is Danny's babby... we kind of follow.

Here you can see that Yu-Gi-Oh! really is exclusively its English title.
I would agree to a future alias when possible as an alternative to just wiping them all out or creating a bunch of useless similar-titled tags of the exact same damn show.
