Ahegao_lmao never adds over 10 tags for any of his posts, neither artist name, a source, or uses "tagme", and he posts tons of things, could you force him to add more tags to his posts or at least the source?

You are required to add at least 5 valid tags not including tagme or request tags as well as some commonly blacklisted tags. Based on the small sample I examined Ahegao_lmao is meeting our minimum requirements for tagging. We'll keep an eye out though.

Astrokite00 deserves to have an eye tho

I took the time to look at the user Astrokite00 that spiderfan mentions. On the first page of their uploads, the first 8 they uploaded with only character_name and tagme, a total of 2 tags. I spot checked a few on the other pages, same thing. If an image has more than 2 tags, someone else added them, not AstroKite00.

Could you please let them know they need to add more tags?

It looks like another mod just gave them a second warning earlier today.

Not sure who done it but Loli has been characterized. now Loli has a greater chance of appearing in the title of the tab, bad for stealth

Felt compelled to reply to one of the original 2010 comments...

Muitsu tagged a TON of clearly non-child non-loli kasugano_sora images, as loli.

Do you recall any examples? I find in some cases some people just have more expansive ideas of where to draw the upper limit there. Like for example some will include 13 year olds and others won't.

IMO, gelbooru should adopt danbooru's loli/child tagging policy, it makes searching much easier and more specific. If it ain't sexually suggestive, tag it child.

Not sure if that would solve: wouldn't you still have problem of people using "child" in ways not everyone can agree upon? Like you have some who use "child" to indicate "prepubescent" (preteen etc) while others use it to mean "minor" (below age of majority, under 18)

The distinction creates the added problem of "what is sexually suggestive?"

Plus the neat thing about loli/shota unlike 'child' is it's gendered terms.

By relying on "child" + male/female the problem you get is you can't distinguish shota+woman vs loli+man

We adopted that before I even became a regular here. loli/shota is for NSFW posts and child is for rating:safe posts. It's been like that for like a decade now.

Loli's a blacklist tag, Gelbooru's willing to have it overused in some cases to make sure people who really, really don't want to see loli don't see it. The character's canonical age doesn't matter at all, as the tag's wiki entry spells out:

This tag is for sexually explicit or sexually_suggestive artwork of girls who appear to be young or preadolescent (roughly between age 3 and 12). Please note the character's canonical age doesn't matter - if the character is canonically 12 but looks 20+, they are not loli. Similarly, if a character is canonically 3000 but appears to only be 12, then they are considered loli. Work-safe, non-sexual images of young girls should not be tagged as loli - that is what the child tag is for.

Unfortunately a lot of people think sexually suggestive includes pretty much all nudity when it comes to girls, so all nude females that look to be 12 or younger should have the loli tag. You may disagree, but some people get seriously bent out of shape by even innocent things like Yuno from Hidimari Sketch in the bathtub naked, even though you can't see any of her body because of the water, and the scene was never meant to be sexually suggestive. (Some people go so far as to attack Hidimari Sketch as "pedo shit" because of the Yuno bathtub scenes.)

That's not to say that serious misuse doesn't happen, I discovered this image tagged as loli the other day:

gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=5792974

There's no nudity at all, so I'm not sure why it got tagged as loli, but least it led to me seeing such a gorgeous picture.

Problem with the danbooru bot
Posted on: 01/23/21 06:27PM

Not sure this is the right place but the danbooru bot seems to not be transferring translations over resulting in images incorrectly tagged as having a translation
Example: gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=3394265
What the bot was copying: danbooru.me/posts/2515271?q=parent%3A2514969

That was four years ago. It had been a problem on this site for years and was only recently fixed, we hope, in the past year or so.

So, yeah, there's a shitload of posts like that but so far as I know it isn't doing that at the moment.
