For some reason, sometimes when I view a tag I don't see all images contained within it. Worst offender is gender_swap; 22k+ images listed, only 1 shown.

gender_swap should be tagged genderswap. At any rate you are seeing exactly how many images are tagged under any given tag, it's the tag counts that're inaccurate.
