I'm sorry, but I didn't see a thread specifically for discussing the update. The one that says "IMPORTANT NOTICE!" At the top of the page.

I don't use facebook so I have nothing to compare, but that looks hard to navigate. How exactly would it be an improvement in navigation for those of us who simply wish to browse images? I have been using booru sites for a long time, so while I'm open to the change I'm skeptical.

I'm sure nothing short of everyone ever stopping the use of dan/gel when it rolls out would change the minds of the people in charge even if it turns out to be bad, so really I just want to understand more.

Now I'm no expert when it comes to discussing updates, but would it not be more sensible to have a thread where everyone can openly discuss (argue?) about the upcoming change?

I think this way because of the scale of the proclaimed changes. As far as I can tell it's something that will alter the way everyone views the site's main attraction: The main post listing. I too have no facebook, and the image provided doesn't paint a clear picture. If more official information becomes available in the future, it should be distributed publicly and available for viewing by anyone at anytime.

Certainly feedback from the casual and anonymous community is to be taken in to consideration.

I agree with Moonman. It just seems a lot easier to have everyone post in one thread, so you don't get the same questions ten thousand times over. This way, everyone can read the questions asked before and get the answers they need.

I've never seen a facebook timeline, so I don't know what the changes are going to be like, either. Honestly, from the image provided, it looks like it's going to be pretty inconvenient (I hope I'm wrong) to navigate once the changes go into effect. Now, I'm willing to give it a chance, but I do think that there should be a publicly accessible place to discuss as major a change as this (unless people will have the option to revert to the old style, but I can imagine that would be too much of a hassle to code).

So let there be. If users can't find a reason to post in the forums on a regular occasion, and then decide that a thread regarding the upcoming change is worth voicing their opinion on,
it should serve as an example of just how much the topic affects the community.

You'd really rather 1000 people private message you for information you could place publicly once and be done with it? I mean with some of the asinine posts in the forum is this not a topic worth having something in the forum about? If not then is the forum literally a place for people to just talk about their dicks and tag pruning?

Well you have one set of aspies that would be PMing me and another set that would be probably be making forum threads even if there already was one
