I feel like half the purpose of Dark Mode is being defeated when it doesn't apply to the Favorites page. Is this a bug nobody has bothered mentioning or is there a greater power play at work here?

The favorites page has not yet been updated to the new layout. The old layout it's using, which is many years old, is incompatible with dark mode. Dark mode will be added to the favorites page when it gets updated to the new layout.
