Digital Millennium Copyright Act, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Millennium_Copyright_Act

tl;dr: An artist can come along at any time and demand we remove their works from the site. Odds are something you posted was by one such artist.

They were deleted saying they were duplicates of each other however since both were deleted we don't have one of them any more. Any chance of restoring one?

From what I could find (on rule34), it looks like he's american/speaks english, at least, so I removed them based on that. If you can provide proof that he's Japanese, I'll gladly work to have the images restored, however.

I saw the site and it has futurama and simpsons images, so you could be right.
