Is Sony japanese anymore?

with Sony's HQ having moved to california and now with the announcement that they are closing their japanese holdings....

is Sony japanese anymore?
they kinda turned into a western company.
so what would happen to Sony's creations? will they be removed due to the rule stating that non-japanese stuff do not belong here?
or will it be Grandfather clause?

If you're talking about Gebooru, there are many western artists who draw anime that are hosted here. It's not just about who made it (and whether they're Japanese), it's about whether it's made in Japanese style.

Even if the main HQ is in California their subsidiaries are still mostly in Japan. Aniplex, Funimation, Playstation etc. are all still Japanese.

just to give you a reminder that:

Sony is a Japanese multinational conglomerate corporation with branches all over the world. Sony Interactive entertainment is a United States subsidiary of Japan’s Sony. Jim Ryan is not the CEO of Sony. the CEO of Sony is Kenichiro Yoshida; and Sony is not Headquartered in California. only Sony entertainment is. the Real Headquarters is in Minato, Tokyo.

That second link is a letter from a reader and their speculations, it's not a news article.

You don't seem to be reading anything anyone's said to you. No one's contesting Sony closed their Japanese development studio, but this has no impact on whether or not Sony is a Japanese company. It also markedly does not indicate they're abandoning Playstation, as your initial second link wildly speculated. Quite the contrary, they kept on the localization teams. Absolutely none of your additional links support that speculation, or even echo it.

What this looks like to me is that Sony's decided there's more money to be made making games that appeal more to western gamers, instead of making games that appeal mainly to Japanese gamers. They're not closing up shop, and the main Sony company is still firmly headquartered in Tokyo, Japan and isn't going anywhere. This is disappointing news for Japanese gamers certainly, but it doesn't change the fact that Sony is very much a Japanese corporation.
