I'm going to stay true to my decision and just post less, because flaming is against the rules here, but outright leaving the site over something this petty is a pretty stupid idea, I must admit. I reached the same conclusion last time. I'm just going to share what I think with anyone who actually cares from now on. There was just a time when I could trust most of the people on here, but that has come to an end.

wow well this post gained traction, i have been nofap for 1 week today. honestly it has been tough, at first i just wanted to break the bad habit but i ended up doing it just to prove to myself that i could. it is extremely hard to go nofap, but if you feel your mental state is getting messed up by your masturbatory habits, i highly recommend trying nofap asap. thank you to everyone who replied hope this helped someone

Part of me thinks that, yes there are those people that are too dependant on porn, but a larger part of me fears this is just a push to ban any and all NSFW content.

The nofap element exploits young men's insecurities such as fears of inadequacy, loneliness and need for belonging to bait them into a pseudo-cult that then rewards them with social acceptance for compliance, threatens to shun on disobedience, and encourages them to profess numerous fictional "benefits" that are artifacts of the cult's mantras and confirmation bias. In addition they co-opt language related to addiction to gaslight and manipulate in very abusive and psychologically harmful ways.
They don't even successfully fight the elements of porn they claim to hate. Their actions against pornhub in the name of "sex trafficking"(remember- they define ALL pornography as sex trafficking!) left the porn *industry,* giant corporations like mindgeek who use their control to push certain very divisive and socially destructive fetishes above all others, a near total monopoly, by driving out independent sex workers.
Their actions against games like Huniepop on Steam being uncovered as a troll campaign led to a complete overhaul and paring down of Steam's content policies prior to that incident and an absolute cataclysm of extremely low quality ecchi games flooding the platform.
