I would've searched "hobbies" to see if this thread already exists, but search doesn't work.

You might have interests or hobbies, but when I say "passion" and "ambition" I mean things that drive you. Things you've fallen in love with. Things you'd write essays about if you had the time. Things you'd share your insights and observations on.

Something you love like Nando v Movies loves Movies. Or Anthony Fantano loves music.

Music has always been a very important thing to me, so if there was one thing I was very passionate about— in fact, the only thing I have ever been passionate about, it would be music. Of course, I'll never be some big shot musician no matter how much I try, because my dreams are just that, dreams, they have no basis in reality. That doesn't stop me from going all out with instruments I play though, there's never a day where I'm not playing my Korg, or my guitars—both electric and acoustic, maybe some bass as well.

Music is something that makes up a huge chunk of my person, if I did not have music, I would be an incomplete person with no real "soul". It has gotten me through many bad times in my life, and some good times too.

I want to be buried with all my music stuff, because once I'm dead, the music won't have someone to love it, to cherish and care for it once I'm gone.

Sorry if this sounded weird, but when I read your post, it really trudged up these feelings.

I have been doing martial arts since the age of eight. I started training seriously when I turned 13 and never stopped except to deal with life’s difficulties. I don’t have a black belt or anything, and never competed in serious tournaments, but I at least feel confident enough to defend myself in any situation.

I play guitar. I’m more of a musical composer than an instrumentalist. It was always my goal to be in a band, but I was writing material faster than other musicians could get together and play with me so it turned into a solo project :P

I am also an avid reader/writer. I got all A’s in English class without trying.

Define "big shot musician." You shouldn't let a lack of faith in yourself stand in the way of your dreams. Maybe you won't be a certain thing, but what you will be is something to be proud of. Anthony Fantano isn't a musician, he's a music critic. But he's still very important to the "music community" and "Music YouTube."

I prefer gaming, and sometimes I play games that used non-anime characters as in Red Dead Redemption 2,no FIFA please, for that,I could do it in a real soccer field,it's a lot more fun to respect the legs for doing something as intense as a soccer match.

Instead of hobbies, my oddest...
Posted on: 11/28/23 01:12AM

My oddest hobby is making maintenance of my appliances.

Stuff like cleaning the insides of a vacuum cleaner, opening the washer and remove the accumulated dirt,
Shout out to the kitchen's extractor hood, that shit gets NASTY in a matter of weeks if you still use oil to cook.

Just put your headphones, good mood music. It might take a full hour for each item, but you'll fell it's time well spent.

It makes you feel proud and more "aware" of your own house.
