I've got the perfect wish. It's based off of the Medbay machines from Elysium.
Mass produced machines from the future that permanently cure every major injury and disease. From a missing arm, a broken spine, blindness, tinnitus, all forms of cancer, multiple sclerosis, nuclear radiation (somehow), you name it. The machine quickly and accurately scans what's wrong with you replaces all of your missing or damaged cells/tissue/organs with new ones. The machines are perfect and never backfire; it's a 100% success rate. The process never takes more than 48 hours. There are enough of them to implement into every functioning hospital. It can't bring someone back from the dead though. It just ensures everyone will have a fair chance at life.
And everytime the machine is used, I am donated 1/4 of a penny from all operating machines. That means I'm gonna be a billionaire. Maybe even the world's first trillionaire.
It'd be the closest thing to a perfect world without ruining the natural order of things. Because we all know getting leukemia or becoming a paraplegic due a freak accident is never something that can be justified as fair or humane. And on a darker note, you could argue that people who can't make it to a Medbay machine in time were already destined to die. If you fall into a woodchipper, well..... there's nothing bringing you back from that.
Now it would just be up to the world to figure out how not to fuck up God's gift. If it doesn't turn the medical field into a heavenly utopia, and if people are still struggling with health issues, then we'd see just how corrupt our world's governments truly are. Or just how scummy humanity can be if non-governmental people find a way to turn a dream into a nightmare.
You know why the evil version of this thread works? Because it allows you be the genie, it gives you power, and it is fun to come up with ways to grant and ruin the wishes. Here everything gets granted, there is no interaction and that is boring.
If machines like that existed they would be used for nefarious reasons 100%, humans are naturally flawed and they would find a way to ruin it.
Also because of your no rules thingy, people can make evil wishes with no limit.
