Is uploading AI generated art allowed? (Stable diffusion)
Posted on: 01/20/24 03:34PM

I play around with stable diffusion quite a bit and have created some rather decent images and before i start uploading them i was wondering about the consesus about them? do the site want them at all? or would allowing them too easily flood the site with crap?

If they find ANY AI artifact the post will be deleted. The art must be indistinguishable from human art to stay here.

Extremely strict. "Indistinguishable" is meant literally. It must be impossible to visually tell that an image was AI-generated for it to be allowed. If we can tell at all, even if it's something tiny in the background that most users would never even look at much less notice, it will be removed.

That image in particular has blatantly obvious AI artifacts that anyone could notice right in the foreground. Her hand, the "lace" around the bust of her dress, her necklace, her choker, her eyes, and her crown are all heavily artifacted. There are also lots of issues in the background.

Question about this. I believe I'm skilled enough at AI art creation, at this point, to be able to create pics that are truly indistinguishable (after hours of editing, inpainting, etc). Should they be tagged as AI generated, or simply uploaded without being tagged, so that others never know, if there truly are no artifacts?

Our Terms of Service require AI-generated or AI-assisted images to be tagged as such.

If you edited the image, then you would tag it "ai-assisted" instead of "ai-generated". These are mutually exclusive tags.
