I'm wondering why todcon is banned. A lot of small lolis may be tagged this, seems like a shame.

I'm pretty sure toddlercon has been banned as early as 2010.

I don't believe the actual reason was ever truly specified, but if I were to guess: it is simply a very disgusting and a very fucked up fetish, lol. It somehow makes lolicon look normal in comparison.

Erotic illustrations aimed at toddlercons have a tendency to cultivate attention from, well, toddlercons. For a long time this resulted in some absolutely insane comments being posted by some really wacky humans. It brought in to question if the moderators' duties should involve contacting the authorities when certain desires and even threats were posted which were unambiguously not directed at 2D characters. A blanket ban on illustrations featuring erotic depictions of characters of a certain size was employed to just be rid of any trouble.



The deleted one was tagged "toddler". The available one is not. Food for thought.
Also, the decensoring on the deleted one was iffy.

Toddlercon's been banned for a very long time, longer than I've had an account even (mine dates back to 2018). From what I've heard it was causing major, major problems, including issues involving real child pornography. (I think it was toddlercon fans trading links to CP via private messages on Gelbooru.) It's not surprising it was banned. As for stuff that's missed, the mods are not omnipotent, stuff slips through the cracks. As soon as they find out about it, it gets deleted. I'm not sure the censored image counts, though. With no genitals visible it may pass muster. If not, I'm sure it'll be deleted soon.

I guess they will ban any other fetishes or even fanbases if they have a large reputation of notorious and criminal activities

It's funny because gelbooru still sometimes allow for extra small loli hentai (toddlercon basically) with super creepy pedo comments, so it's not like the issue disappeared entirely. lol.

We're not omnipresent like laura.loli said. Some will slip through the cracks but when we see them we'll get rid of them.

Users were PMing each other and doing illegal things over toddlercon on multiple occasions. Comments weren't much better. lozer nixed toddlercon so we didn't have to deal with that kind of user so much.

Yeah I'm well aware, I just thought that it was funny.


If that's true, was there ever any news of a user being arrested or so? If they were doing illegal things, there surely at least a few people who were arrested as a result.

Though, I think I remember either lozer or Jerl saying that law enforcement doesn't reach back out to them, so I may have answered my own question.
