Difference between Flag for Deletion and Delete?

I usually click Flag for Deletion but totally just had a blonde moment, spaced out and went through a slew of pics clicking Delete ( I think...like I said I was spaced out 3; )
Is there a difference? Did I just waste my time? TT.TT;
Cause I found a ton of crappy pics (a lot of them not anime or even relating to Japenese culture)

Yes, you wasted your time. Delete does not work for non mods. You'll have to go through and flag for deletion. :)

Well then perhaps it would be a good thing if this link appeared only when logged in with a mod account ?

Because of the possibility of us needing to cache page results with static files, this will not be possible. :(

Sorry for the necro. but... couldn't you change it to "Delete (only mods)"? I deleted over 100 pics for nothing ¬.¬
