Why the hell is this parasite personified...? I mean...really? Its a parasite that turns a snail's eyestalks into bloated sacks that resemble caterpillars and zombifies them to make them climb to noticable places so birds can eat them.

WHY IS IT PERSONIFIED!?

...Sometimes I hate Rule 34.

i think this is more of a themed-mascot than a personification since the accessories seem to be manmade instead of being a biological part of her body

This particular image may just be a themed-mascot, but if you'll look at the tags and follow the one for the parasite...there are proper personifications.

Thusly, I restate my question.

WHY IS IT PERSONIFIED!?

Because somebody somewhere got a boner from that documentary clip about this particular parasite. Honestly there's 'worse' fetishes than this like fresh amputation and lobotomy. Parasites are a fetish because of their traits to invade orifices, manipulate (sexual) behavior through chemical dishcarge, evacuate through orifices, reproduce within a host, squirm around in sensative areas that can/cannot be reached by conventional sex organs, and in this case; mind control (which is a fetish unto itself)

Also both literally and metaphoricly parasites violate their hosts (another fetish) and technicly ra

[Comment continued]: pe them (also a fetish). If you think about it, parasites make at least some sense as a unique combo-fetish
