Crap... If I were Shinji, I'd properly run for the hills... but if it were my own character in that verse = I'd stand my ground + fight back, but of course I doubt that a bit since both countries were allies during WW2 = but they would've turned on each other eventfully in the following decades or century if they'd won the war, since both empires had huge plans for world dominance and there wasn't enough room for the both of them to share in the long run of all things.
