I don't get this huge autistic shitstorm people are throwing over Mai being "too sexy" for Smash. It's not like she'd have been in the game as anything more than a spirit anyway. Fatal Fury/King of Fighters already as Terry as a playable character repping the series. It doesn't need a second one. (And Smash is oversaturated with third-party guest characters as it is. How about some new NINTENDO characters for the NINTENDO fighting game, huh?)

1: Third party reps are out-numbered 3-to-1 by the Nintendo reps.
2: Nobody said they wanted her as a playable character, they just think its a bit of a double standard to have Bayonetta, Palutena, Wii Fit, and Zero Suit Samus (all attractive female characters, Bayonetta standing out) and barring Mai because she shows some cleavage. Nintendo has made changes to characters so they will meet the rating (Bayonetta once again is the perfect example, as she's FROM a M rated game but is perfectly acceptable in the E rated smash).
3: Third Party Fighters were going to be introduced in Melee, but Sakurai didnt have enough time, that's why Brawl opened with both Sonic and Snake, any why Smash 4 had Pac Man and Mega Man from launch. Snash was never intended to be a "Nintendo properties only" game - it just so happens that the first 2 couldn't include them (the games with 3rd party fighters out number those without)
4: Smash isnt a fighting game.
5: What "new" Nintendo characters is there to add? Are you one of the people who unironically still want Waluigi or Geno in smash? Nintendo was digging DEEP for reps back in smash 4 because they themselves have no idea who to turn into a fighter. They literally put DUCK HUNT into the game. Hell, Lucas has appeared in more Smash entries than Mother entries.

Heck even Princess Lyn(dis), Prince Eliwood, Prince Hector, Princess Eirika, Prince Ephraim, Princess Elincia, Princess Micaiah, Prince Sothe, Princess Edelgard, Sir Yuri, Prince Dimitri, Prince Claude, Lady Rhea, Lady/Sir Alear & other Main Villains from Fire Emblem have yet made it Super Smash Bros. Brackets yet.. <3 <3 <3
