Difference between Krillin and Yamcha? Krillin has won fights, or just a fight in general. Yamcha has never defeated a single named opponent in the entire series. The few he did beat (all in Dragonball) were on screen for a few minutes and were never really named.
Also in DBZ, he is always the first one defeated out of the entire team, excluding the Namek saga as he was still dead from his embarrassing defeat in the Sayian saga.

DBZ would have been better if it wasn't filled with such totally useless characters. It would have been nice if the others were able to at least hurt their opponents but they were so weak in comparison that they might as well of been some random guy of the street. Hercule was more useful than any of the non saiyans during the boo saga. Also Chichi should have been involved in the fighting(could of kicked raditz ass).

The problem with DBZ was the introduction of Super Saiyans which took priority over everything else. If you weren't a saiyan, you would get your ass kicked, no questions asked.
That's why I hated the Cell Saga and Beyond. Krillin and Piccolo could still do damage to Frieza at least.

Piccolo AND Krillin are both still of vital importance in the Cell Saga. Piccolo even fights on even footing with Android 17 and beats the stuffing out of Cell the first time around.
And Most characters weren't always pointless. Yamcha was important the first 20 episode of Dragon Ball... lol
