cissnei left the turks right after the storyline of crisis core, together with some other turks from before crisis.

a thinkable reason why could be the tyranny of shinra, which destroyed the home village of angeal and genesis and ordered the execution of zack and cloud as witnesses of the nibleheim (correct spelled) incident...

@salarta: What classifies a game as a spin-off? However you define it, Crisis Core is a very fleshed-out and polished game I'd recommend you try. ;O It's awesome.

@the first Anonymous here: Turks are supposed to be cold and uncaring.. while I see Cissnei "leaving" since she was much too soft, I don't see many others doing the same.

Just my opinions.
