well, apparently, up until she revealed her "secret" to him, she never really showed him any respect or treated him like a brother so he just didn't bother to try and have a normal relationship with her. of course, like any brother would/should, now that they have gotten close he's defending his sister's hobby cause its what makes her happy. ^^
