She is the young daughter of Nadim Samaya and Elnora Samaya and is a cheerful and innocent child. She often wears a space suit with a rabbit ear like helmet. Thanks to circumstances beyond her parents' control, she gets dragged into a war zone when soldiers attack the spaceship she and her parents are on. Ericht just so happens to be in a Gundam at the time, and to her mother's horror, Ericht turns out to be a natural at piloting a Gundam to the point that she can push herself way harder than any other pilot without endangering her own life. In the process, she kills multiple pilots on the battlefield without realizing what she had done, thinking of the battle as a sort of game. In spite of what the series initially leads the audience to believe, she is not Suletta Mercury as a child. In reality, Eri, or rather her consciousness, is Suletta's beloved mecha Gundam Aerial.
