She was born on November 2, 2000 in Nagoya, Japan. Her singing career was launched when she was cast as the singing voice of Mikumo_Guynemer from Macross_Delta who is the most prominent singer in said series besides protagonist Freyja Wion. She was 14 when she was cast in the role, but her voice was notably mature-sounding for her age and made her sound older than her co-singer Suzuki Minori, who played Freyja, despite Suzuki being slightly older. This made Junna the youngest singer to be cast for the Macross franchise. Shortly afterwards, Junna started her solo singing career outside of her work for Macross Delta, in March 2017. She released her first solo album Vai! Vai! Vai! in June 2017. Since then, she alternated between her solo work and her work as part of Macross Delta's Walkure.
