He has a pointy mustache and wears a purple hat with an upside down L, and a purple shirt and overalls. He was introduced in Mario Tennis for Nintendo 64, but has so far only appeared in Mario sports games and spinoffs. Even though he has yet to appear in main platformer, he is consistently a playable character in the spinoffs. His name is a combination of the Japanese word warui (meaning bad) and Luigi, making him Bad Luigi. He is voiced by Charles Martinet.
