She is an anime/manga fan who often makes references to visual novels, anime, video games, etc, most of which go over her friends' heads. She seems to have inherited her hobby from her father Izumi Soujirou, and has inherited her looks from her mother. Although she is in high school, she is very short and youthful looking, but this doesn't bother her at all. She has a long, messy blue hair with an ahoge at the top. She also has a mole on her face and is famous for frequently making a cat smile or :3 expression. She is also quite athletic and has decent grades despite devoting much of her time to her hobbies. In the anime she is also a fan of Hirano Aya and the Suzumiya Haruhi franchise. She is close friends with Hiiragi Kagami and likes teasing her. She is voiced by Hirano Aya and the anime exploits this for a quite a few seiyuu jokes.
