Part of the Touhou_(PC-98) era of Touhou games. Mysterious ruins suddenly appear near the Hakurei_Shrine. The shrine's miko, Hakurei_Reimu, together with her former enemies Mima_(Touhou) and Kirisame_Marisa_(PC-98)|, as well as a few others, stage a competition to see which one can enter the ruins, believing it holds enormous treasures. The game is notable for its "versus" style gameplay, one which returned for the Windows generation's Phantasmagoria_of_Flower_View .
