They originally appeared as secondary characters in the Madou_Monogatari [1] series of video games. They have no appendages, but do have a pair of eyes, somehow similar to the slimes in Dragon_Quest (slime_(dragon_quest)). In the PuyoPuyo [2] series of games, puyos drop from the top of screen while the player tries to create chains of puyo with the same color.
