Now Viewing: stand_(jojo)Tag type: Character Refers to the fighting spirits that appear in the Jojo series. Not to be confused with any other kind of stand. Tag can also apply to images that depict a non Jojo character as if they were a Jojo style Stand. They were introduced in the third story arc Stardust Crusaders and have been a mainstay ever since. The vast majority of the characters have Stands that give them special powers, some of which are quite bizarre. Fights in the series often consist of the heroes trying to figure out how their opponent's Stand works and finding a way to counter it, often by using their own Stands in unorthodox ways. It is also common for the main villain of each story arc to have arguably the most powerful Stand. Araki often names the Stands after Western musicians as he is a big fan of Western music.
