Chun-Li (春麗(チュン・リー), Chun Rī?, simplified Chinese: 春丽; traditional Chinese: 春麗; pinyin: Chūn Lì) is a video game character produced by Capcom. First introduced in Street Fighter II: The World Warrior, she has since appeared as a player character in nearly all subsequent games. Her name in Mandarin is (chūn 春 "Spring", lì 麗 "beautiful"), meaning that she is a single young girl filled with the beauty of spring. She was originally designed by Yasuda Akira (Akiman). She usually wears blue Chinese clothes and spiked bracelets. She is famous for her developed legs though how muscular she is depends on the artist. An undercover Interpol agent, Chun-Li enters Street_Fighter_II 's fighting tournament as a way of getting to its founder, M. Bison. She seeks to avenge her father, who was murdered while investigating Bison's crime syndicate, Shadaloo. Her signature move is the Hyakuretsu Kyaku (百裂脚, lit. Hundred Rending Kicks?), commonly known as the Lightning Kick, which involves repeatedly kicking her opponent from a tilted standing position.

She is known for being the first female fighting game character to become enormously popular and has helped pave the way for more female fighting game characters. Many subsequent Chinese female fighters in fighting games are also inspired by her. She has become one of Capcom's most iconic characters and holds the distinction of being the only Street Fighter character besides series hero Ryuu to have appeared in every Capcom crossover except for Cross Edge. Her numerous appearances also makes her one of the most prolific Capcom female characters.

In images featuring Capcom and SNK characters, she is often drawn alongside Shiranui Mai, likely because they are the most iconic female fighting game characters of their respective companies. Akiman, Chun-li's creator, has also drawn artwork featuring the two of them.

She is voiced by Miyamura_Yuko (Street Fighter Zero, Street Fighter EX, VS series), Tanaka_Atsuko (Street Fighter 3 Third Strike, Namco x Capcom), Neya_Michiko (Capcom vs SNK), Jitsukawa_Mari (SVC Chaos: SNK vs CAPCOM) Orikasa_Fumiko (Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, Street Fighter IV, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Street Fighter X Tekken, Project X Zone), Toma_Yumi (Street Fighter Alpha: The Movie), Fujitani_Miki (Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie). She is played by Ming-Na in the first live action Street Fighter film and by Kristin Kreuk in Legend of Chun-li. Jackie_Chan memorably cosplayed as her in the live action movie adaptation of City Hunter. The Hong Kong action comedy Future Cops (from the same director as City Hunter) features a female character clearly inspired by her played by Yau Chingmy.
