Now Viewing: weiss_schneeTag type: Character One of the main characters of RWBY. She is a white haired teen girl who wears a blue and white dress as well as a jacket. She has a scar over her right eye which, according to the White trailer was given to her by an armored knight. She is the wealthiest of the main characters and is the heiress to the Schnee Dust Corporation which produces one of the main magic sources of the series, Dust. Her fighting style makes extensive use of Dust. She wields a rapier called Myrtenaster that has a special dial on its handle. Depending on the dominant color, the rapier will be powered by different magical abilities. Weiss also moves like an ice skater in combat so she has a graceful dance-like style of fighting. Although she is capable of fighting, she has less confidence in her own abilities in contrast to Ruby and has to mentally remind herself of what to do when she is faced with combat during her training. Weiss is quite temperamental and impatient when dealing with people. She initially does not get along with Ruby Rose thanks to Ruby accidentally knocking over her suitcases filled with Dust which can be highly volatile. The two of them end up having to work together. Weiss is reluctant to, but she decides to work with Ruby as she views her other potential partner Jaune Arc to be ineffective. Their first time working together turns out to be a mess as the two of them have different approaches to combat and have trouble communicating with each other. However, the two of them eventually come to an understanding of each other and after they set aside their differences, they prove to be a very effective team. Despite Weiss's sharp personality, she decides to preserve Ruby's safety multiple times during the training session. Weiss initially does not accept Ruby as a team leader, but after an eye-opening lecture by Professor Port she comes to accept and respect Ruby and the two of them become close friends. Although Weiss maintains her haughty way of speaking, Weiss also gradually accepts the other members of RWBY as part of her team, showing more concern for their well-being, working together to solve problems, and even joining in their mischievous antics. Weiss despises the Faunus group White Fang which she considers to be a group of violent human hating thugs. She views them as responsible for many of the troubles she and her family have had to go through and her hatred of them also leads her to have a distrust of Faunus in general. This puts her into conflict with, and angers, her normally calm teammate Blake who feels Weiss does not understand what the Faunus have had to go through. She has a very strained relationship with her father and she attributes the distance between them to the White Fang's repeated attacks on the Schnee Dust Corporation. She is based off of Snow White. Her full name means White Snow in German. She also likes to eat apples. Jaune is interested in her and often tries to flirt with her, but he always fails miserably and Weiss wants little to do with him. Neptune, even though he refers to Weiss using the same line as Jaune did ('Snow Angel'), has much more success in flirting with Weiss and grabs her attention. Weiss is also the only one of the main characters who did not have a voice until the main series started. While she sings in the White Trailer, her singing voice is provided by Casey Lee Williams who also sings the other vocal songs of the series. Like Ruby, her actual personality is not evident in her debut trailer. Her actual voice is provided by Kara Eberle. Her theme song is Mirror Mirror, a melancholic song about her loneliness. However, the third season introduces Mirror Mirror Part 2, which has a more positive tone.
