The original game debuted in 2007. Inoue_Junya designs the characters who are predominantly cute young girls wearing gothic lolita outfits. Music is composed by Namiki Manabu. The games are set in the spiritual world of Gilverado. Most of the characters are from the real world but have been transplanted in Gilverado. The main characters are taken in by Count Dior who takes care of them during their stay in Gilverado. When monsters start wreaking havoc in the land, the girls are sent out to stop them. Gameplay consists of the player's character of choice flying through 3D rendered environments (gameplay is in 2D) shooting at enemies while accompanied by a familiar which also participates in the shooting. There are also brief story cutscenes as well as multiple endings for the characters. The games also allow the player to decide which stage s/he wants to go to next. The final stage, however, will always be the same.
