He got the job after being interviewed by Kawajiri_Yoshiaki For the the next two decades, he worked as an animator at the studio and finally made his directorial debut with the 2003 OVA Trava: Fist Planet and directing the episode World Record in The_Animatrix. He became much more prominent as a director after he finished Redline, which took seven years to make. As a director, he often directs action anime films and frequently works with composer James Shimoji. He is most well known for his work on the Lupin_iii franchise during the 2010s. His entries in the series are notably darker, more violent, and more sexual than the rest of the Lupin III anime adaptations.
