Now Viewing: resident_evil_degenerationTag type: General A canon CG animated film released in 2008. It is directed by Kamiya Makoto and written by Suga Shotaro. It is set between Resident Evil 4 and 5, taking place one year after Resident Evil 4. Since Code Veronica, Claire Redfield has decided to take a less combat oriented approach to fighting zombies and corrupt corporations and is a member of the activist group Terra Save. She arrives at a Harvardville Airport to meet with a friend and her niece, Rani Chawla. However, the airport soon suffers a bioterrorist attack and zombies overrun the airport. Claire and Rani hide in the airport's VIP room with Senator Ron Davis and a stewardess. Leon Scott Kennedy is sent to rescue them from the now locked down airport and he brings along two Special Response Team Members Greg Glenn and Angela Miller. The rescue mission is successful, but the terrorist attacks do not stop for a convoy of trucks carrying vaccine to cure the virus are destroyed. The terrorist seems to be targeting the corporation WilPharma which has been accused of many human rights abuses. Leon, Angela, and Claire team up to investigate the situation. As the film is a reunion of Leon and Claire, the film also incorporates numerous references to Resident Evil 2.
