I have gelbooru 1.1.10 installed but im thinking of adding captions to the upload area. Im altering the main look and feel as i plan on making a home/do-it-yourself craft site. People upload the image of the finished product, and under it (in the caption area) put a guide on how to do it. I know that you can make the installer make a extra mysql table for "caption" but i dont know how to tell it to do that (i know the php must be edited) and that its possible to insert the caption box in the submit pages, but i need to know how to do this. I know that the gelbooru used here is anime and hentai, but a image board like this has many possibilities and i would like to explore this one. any help would be much appreciated

Sorry to double post, but i was able to get a caption box added to the post_add page, and a new column in the mysql table "post" called "caption". now i just need to get it to display the caption under the image. I tried editing post_view.php and put "<?php print $row['caption'];?>" so that it appeared under the image but as you can guess that just gave me a error stating header cant be changed cause of lines 10 and 11 in post_view
any ideas @_@, just want it to display the caption below the image thats all

well thanks anyway :P thought i would ask. guess ill have to go find some booru sites that do have caption, RE their changes and add it to my own project, but thanks anyway

Did you take a look at winbooru? Its made by Firestar (hes on gelbooru IRC) and offers alot more functionality then gelbooru 0.1

nope, didnt look at it, but after looking at it, i think i can actually do more with it, thanks for the link, ill give it a shot, and make a decision on which i want to use.
