Google translator would require an ability to convert the image's text into a text that a computer recognizes wouldn't it?

If you don't know how to transfer the characters from an image to typable text, google translate can't really help.

If there is a way, I want to know too. I could use it.

the method is memorizing kanji. Tha'ts pretty much it. Or at least vocabulary. A lot of the time I dont' even know the kanji to words, but the context combined with my vocabulary usually get the translation done.

I know enough Japanese to figure it out, but I have to look up half the kanji so it takes a little while.

I wish there was a way to convert kanji images to text, but as far as I know there isn't. I just search a kanji dictionary by stroke number to find the ones I don't know.
