Pixiv source

Danbooru requires to use direct image link for Pixiv image in source field, though it redirects to image page. But when image reposted from danbooru to gelbooru the source link becomes direct image and you have to use iqdb or saucenow to get to this image on pixiv.

Here is danbooru's rules for uploading pixiv images:
---
When you're uploading something from pixiv, you need to use the direct image link (ending in jpg or gif or png etc) when uploading. But it looks like with some images you uploaded, you used one of the intermediate links, generally ones with "member_illust" in them somehow.

There are various reasons why we need the direct image URL. For example source: search, Find Artist and mass edits based on URL only work with the direct image link. And you don't have to worry about 404s or anything, because danbooru handles the redirect.

For example, look at post #465781. If you click the source link you go to www.pixiv.net/member_illu...ium&illust_id=4610793 even though if you click 'Edit' and look at the source link it shows img01.pixiv.net/img/shoohey/4610793.jpg (the one you should use).
---

tl;dr compare those Source links and make it work like on danbooru please.

Do not use the forum to make feature requests. That's what the trac is for.

I keep doing that too. Though it probably isn't as annoying to make feature requests on an already created thread related to the request than it is to create a new thread.

It just feels so right to post them in the forums for some reason... I don't know why.

Sorry, didn't know about the trac. And my request is already mentioned there.

Then bump it or whatever, or say that you want the feature too. Don't post here.
