Wow...I'm talking about my issues with a site I'm using...on that site and not how I'm going to pay my college tuition, how a family member broke a bone, or how fucked the United States is about to become. How evil of me.

yeah the new UI sucks on mobile. The image tags are a lot less organized and its actually pretty hard to use. The old UI was a hell of a lot better and I hope y'all add a option to Renable it or simply make it the default again

Agreed. Every day is a new terrible "feature" added to mobole, like the black bar with the expand image/edit tags/favorite etc buttons that take up a 5th of the screen, in addition to the search bar that now always takes up a 5th of the screen.

I was glad when they removed the blue bar from always being visible across the top, but that only lasted like a day before they replaced it with a black bar always visible across the bottom. Stop putting always visible bars across the screen that hinder viewing the images.

It's the opposite actually, because they get lower visibility/ranking in Google search results, resulting in less traffic with the old UI. If you really hate the new UI, get pissed at Google for forcing Gelbooru (and other sites) to make stupid UI decisions so they don't lose search traffic.

Google's pretty notorious for this bullshit.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_World_problem

Also, I think my point was kinda missed.
There's always room for improvement, as I said, but going as far as calling the mobile version of the site "unusable" or "dogshit"... now that's a bit much, ain't it? And I'm not talking about your case in particular, it's a general consideration I'm making.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, of course, and people writing about the matter means they care at least a bit, which is great!
To me, it just felt wrong reading a few comments portraying the mobile UI as something that bad. At the end of the day, is it really like that?

I believe things are done for a reason, and with a bigger picture of it all in mind.
Remember that there's someone behind the UI work, and if it was me, I wouldn't be positively encouraged by reading plain mean comments about it.

As I'm writing this reply, it appears that tags are now displaying in a column rather than being "scattered" on the bottom of the page (it's always mobile I'm talking about).
It's improving, slowly but steadily. I believe suggestions are more than welcome: so, yes, keep on talking about the issues you got with the site, but don't just throw shit at it, because it doesn't help.
Again, not your particular case. It's more of a general thought of mine on the matter.

I don't use the site on mobile, so I can't speak to that UI, but I have seen UI changes that literally made the site unusable for me. Google pulled that off with Google News at one point, causing the site to eat up CPU and RAM like crazy, load slowly and crash the tab more often than not. It's probably been fixed since, but it was so bad I don't trust them enough to use it again.

I kind of doubt Google purposefully developed the UI to make it unusable for some people. Unexpected outcomes can occur and sometimes changes really do make the UI unusable for some people, even if it's okay for most of them.

I raise my hands to that, then.
If it legit was unusable, with often crashes and whatnot, then of course it's a problem. Glad it's been fixed!

I've never met such complications myself, but of course it doesn't mean that everything's spot on just because my personal experience was pretty much flawless.

Unexpected outcomes can occur and sometimes changes really do make the UI unusable for some people, ...

And it's exactly because they're unexpected that they're a pain in the ass to deal with.
I see what you're saying to me, though, you've got a point!
I just wish some people'd be a tad more patient. Fixing those kind of problems might not be as easy as we (well, some of us) think it is, and they gotta do this while keeping an eye on other stuff, too.
