Now Viewing: What does it mean when a tag has a cross through it

Hello there. I'm new to gelbooru. (Absolutely love it so far.) I'm curious if you could possibly elaborate a little on this, and also If you happen to know if there's a way to search for these specific tags anyways. I've seen a lot of crossed out tags that I can't really think of better words/terms for. [e.g. skimpy/skimpy clothes] I have a very broad range of preferred tags, and sometimes just really like the idea of a girl/girls purposely dressing like hoes for attention or as a bet or something like that...tbh the only other way I know how to specifically search for slutty/revealing clothes/outfits is something like "slutty/revealing clothes in public" which is a little to long to be effecient. Also any help is greatly appreciated. Thx in advance. ^.^
A tag being deprecated doesn't make it so you can't search for it. If there are any posts that actually have it, they'll show up in a search just fine. However, when we deprecate a tag, we usually remove it from all of the posts that it's on, so there usually won't be many results for the search.

Hmm, about the broken dark_skinned tags that still have all their posts gelbooru.com/index.php?pa...=asc&order_by=updated. If you change their deprecated status, wonder if something could change. All the issue happens because the deprecated tags still have all their posts, and then they were renamed/aliased. Putting them in that weird limbo in which they cant be blacklisted or removed from search.

The problem is in the aliasing system. Changing the tag type does nothing behind the scenes, only changes the displayed color and adds the strike-through.

Dang. Well, i guess its up to Geltas now. Or someone that could edit 70k posts manually, 1 by 1. Because the manual fix still work.
My plan, that you guys rejected i think would had work. Give a random tag (blabla1234) to all the posts with dark-skinned_male, then remove the dark-skinned_male tag of all the posts that have it, that would also remove the broken dark_skinned_male tag. Then use the random tag, to retag all the post with dark-skinned_male again.
The manual fix work because you can remove the broken tag using the new alias.
