I assume you've all heard of "gateway x"s - a single instance of something that leads someone down the path to more of the thing "x" is, like "gateway drugs" or "gateway anime". Although they can be anything for anyone, there is often a specific example that gets more people hooked than others, and thus is regarded as a more common gateway.

Well, I was wondering if there are certain lolis that, more than others, serve as a "gateway" to the fetish. For me, it was (obviously) Platelet from Cells at Work. Thanks to her, I went from despising loli hentai to not getting enough of it. But I don't know if she has that effect on many others.

Does anyone else want to share who their "gateway loli" was which got them into the genre, and which of the more famous lolis are most likely to do so?

I'm not into traditional loli's, but FATE's jack the ripper got me hooked on lolis with fat asses, if that even counts. Before her I blacklisted loli content and didn't understand the sex appeal of anime girls who looked too young.

Tomoyo from Card Captor Sakura was probably the one for me. There's just something about her that pushes all my buttons, both romantically and sexually. She's just perfect.

On the note of 'thick lolis', I think Kanna Kamui could probably be considered a modern gateway loli. Her wide hips and thick thighs combined with zettai ryouiki probably got more than a few people thinking about it that otherwise wouldn't lewd lolis.
