Have y'all considered installing a second browser for lewd browsing? Brave runs on Chromium and is very good.

I use Chrome Portable from PortableApps myself, most of my browsing is done in separate portable browsers. (One for online banking, one for my main Gmail account, one for my personal one, etc.) They have several portable browsers available, including Firefox & Chrome. Other browsers might have portable versions available outside of PortableApps. I know Vivaldi supports the option to be a portable install, and PaleMoon (a Firefox fork) has a portable version as well.

If you need to keep your lewd browsing hidden for whatever reason, this is a great route to go. You can put the browser on an encrypted flash drive, or just an encrypted virtual disk. When it's not running and the encrypted drive/disk isn't mounted, there's no trace of your browsing. I do it because I like keeping things compartmentalized.

Brave is my main/lewd/goofing off browser. Chrome is my business browser, and Firefox is my 'sensitive information' browser.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that uses multiple browsers. :p

Laura, I'm gonna have to look into portable browsing. I really admire the lengths you go to for privacy.

It's also for security, as it makes it harder for someone to use a cross-site scripting (XSS) attack to gain information from my accounts that way. I also make sure to open a new, clean tab every time I visit my online accounts for credit cards and utilities/etc. that I pay online. And of course I use adblock, because the ad networks are pretty much the polar opposite of secure. That includes on my phone, where I use Vivaldi and its built-in adblocking.
