Anyone else seen this when typing something about Loli into google?

This will probably be my first and last post on this forum.

I think it's all safe to say all Lolicons are on some sort of watch list.

I searched up on google "loli hentai gif", and I instantly get greeted by a message along the lines, saying that child pornography is illegal, and call this number if you see any on the web, bla, bla, bla.

Is this new or something? Or is it only exclusive to my country, which is New Zealand?

If you're like me, you download all your favourite hentai stuff onto your computer, which probably is not the smartest idea, since the only way to fully get rid of it, is if you destroy your hard drive. And I'm sure that most of us have many accounts on the internet where we have loli related stuff on it, so unless you manage to delete all those accounts, then you're screwed if the FBI decided to search your computer. Plus, I'm sure they could find ways to recover those accounts anyways... Either way, we're all fucked.

Almost every lolicon is not a pedophile. We don't show any sexual attraction to children, but we do like the cute anime, lewd art style of loli. It's more of a kink than anything. But that doesn't matter. Because the public is automatically gonna think it's child porn, and in turn, gives lolicons are bad name, and think that all lolicons = pedophile.

On to the main point of this post, since I've been greeted by that message on google, my internet provider might send the FBI to my house. If that happens, I'm going to jail. For my country, the stance on lolicon is confusing. It's mostly illegal, but it's not 100% concrete. However, people in NZ have been sent to jail for possession of lolicon. I might be next.

PS.
Sorry for the long post.

Good thing I'm not dumb enough to google stuff like that.

It's illegal in the UK and Australia and NZ but convictions are crazy rare and seem to always come with actual CP possession. FBI doesn't care one bit about lolicon art unless it's traced over real CP or based on a real person.

I see. That calms me down a bit. Thanks.

I would imagine that trying to send a party van your way for just Googling "loli hentai gifs" would be a gross misappropriation of law enforcement resources.

That message appears elsewhere on Google too. It's not a warning to you, it's asking you to report real CP that is on their search engine that they haven't identified yet. It's not new, even before Google messages like that were used on Yahoo, AOL and Usenet sites. You're only seeing it now because of your search.

I wouldn't stress over that google warning. It simply appears to be a pre-determined warning and nothing more. But again, that's only as far as I know.

The warning isn't new as I first found it about 1.5 years ago, but only very recently they have associated with more terms, such as "oppai loli" or "lolicon". In fact, you'll get the warning by typing in "oppai loli gelbooru". This is probably due to the fact google becoming more savvy with the words, as well as the concept of loli getting more exposed to the mainstream. And by extension, they also have removed explicit loli images from google search. I'd believe this was the primary reason why loli has been soft-hidden on the website.

I'd say I did something much stupider than that about a year ago, by googling more explicit terms just to see which words and phrases would trigger the pop-up. That was very idiotic of me in hindsight to google such things without a VPN, but nothing's happened so far. Besides, it would be highly impractical for law enforcement to take action for someone by just googling certain terms. They would need to catch you downloading certain illegal material, and that mostly only happens on certain websites they have monitored.

Then again, I'm not sure how serious other countries (such as NZ) take loli-related images.

Oh yeah, look at that. I've never seen that message before. I'm sure I've typed "loli" into Google before.

It looks like it has to be paired with the word "hentai" to trigger the message. "Gelbooru" also does it, but... "lolibooru" does not :V

It's not new, and you have to type in more than just loli for it to show up. Searching for just loli gets you a nice snippet from a site's explanation of what loli is, along with some safe images of anime lolis. Amusingly, the second search result is for LOLI Beauty's line of organic beauty products. (Their site claims this stands for "Living Organic Loving Ingredients.")

So it's nothing to worry about, even if it is a little annoying.
