An ESRB-inspired rating is a better approach. E for completely safe content (the "general" option), T for mildly risque content (the "sensitive/safe" option), M for strongly suggestive content (the "questionable" rating) and A for explicit content.

Good idea. But we are copying this stuff from Dan. So, we have no voice in this stuff. And it seems that they have already implemented the changes in their side.

Poor Geltas, the guy must be having an aneurism trying to get all the changes done asap. Without breaking the site, again.

By the way, rating modifications count as tag edits?

What you're referring to as tag edits are actually post edits. Changing the rating, source, title or tags, and even deleting a post, all count as post edits and will make a new version. Even saving the post without actually editing anything will create a new, albeit empty, version (please try not to do this).

Why not? What does it do that you prefer us not to do it?

It creates an entry in the tag edits table, which clogs up the database, and makes more work for us when working the tag poisoning queue.

But rating:safe exists.

Somebody didn't read the OP.

...

I agree with this change.
I've seen way too much "Safe" content that I was asking myself, "We see the stitch line of this swimsuit go right in the middle where her pussy is. that's 'safe'?!" (does not necessarily make a cameltoe but strongly implies sexual connotations).
So, having a difference showing the 100% safe content and content that suggest some sexualization, I agree. Now, if I didn't have to wait 30s between each edit, I might find some time to help.

Yeah, I noticed that problem too. Too many cameltoes with the safe rating. Also too many sexy bikinis and clothing with the safe rating. The cooldown is 10 seconds.

_________

Some calibration here, tell me if I am wrong.

Kirby: General
Kirby with a nice pair of titties in a bikini: Sensitive
Kirby with titties going topless: Questionable
Kirby is getting banged: Explicit

Amirite?

2 questions:
1. Will the new rating:sensitive tag still be aliased to rating:safe? I see the ratings under posts still say safei stead of sensitive, editing tags calls it "safe (sensitive)", and uploading new posts just says sensitive. I'm wondering if the current formatting is because the rating is new, or if that's just how it'll be for the foreseeable future, because right now there's some minor inconsistencies.

2. This has been something I've just dealt with for a while since it wasn't a big deal, but will searching rating:general/sensitive/questionable/explicit be able to be autofilled as metadata tags in the search bar again? I don't know why the autofill for searching rating tags was removed in like late 2020/early 2021, but manually typing was fine besides when I fat fingered a typo when typing questionable. Now, if safe isn't aliased to sensitive in the future, I can see myself fat fingering typos in the word sensitive a lot, so I think adding back autofill for rating tags will be pretty helpful.

1. It will be called "Sensitive" everywhere eventually.

2. The tag suggestions box only lists actual tags. Ratings showing up in the suggestions was because someone added the literal text "rating:safe" (and the others) to posts as a tag. This could cause problems in the backend, so they were removed.

The only Thing questionable about Kirby going topless is why would anyone draw such a thing. No, pietro if there are exposed tits it’s definitely not questionable it explicit. Questionable is Kirby with a cameltoe.

And jerl this is going to be booru wide?

gelbooru.com/index.php?pa...ng%3aquestionable+nipples But there are so many exposed titties with the questionable rating.

But Kirby and titties go really well together. post #4989403

It just goes to show that people were a bit lazy when they were uploading and how many posts need fixing.
