About four days ago, OpenAI unveiled a new AI video generation video that is leaps and bounds more advanced than the previous AI video generations.

Well everyone, we're at yet another tipping point where the world will change very soon, much moreso than AI art flooding anime boorus ever could. I mean, the extent of AI art that I've personally seen now were mostly attempts at selling AI art as real art, shitposts, propaganda images, and tons of AI-generated hentai..... but this? There are going to be so much more impactful things you can do with faked photorealistic videos.

I just can't wait to make an NDC-like hentai.

I don't really think much is going to change with the current environment. People are already selectively credulous, believing what is convenient for their other beliefs and dismissing what isn't based on nothing but what a guy on TV said lol.

Deeply controlled and hamstrung corporate products aren't going to disrupt the system that allows those corporations to succeed. Rather, they will be very carefully designed to try and prevent that.

Someone trying to create falseflags with that is as easy as asking the people that were there, and if no evidence is collected, it will be easy to determine if something happened or not.

For what it's worth, odds are this will never be open source. For one, OpenAI realizes the damage it would cause if anyone could do this. For two, it's incredibly resource intensive to make this.

I wouldn't be too sure. I'm confident an alternative will come soon, even if it's just for 10 second .gifs, and ideally 30 seconds videos

Hope someone uses Sora to make an AI video of Joe Biden or Obama raping a 5 years old so the government finally understands why AI needs regulation.
