I had noticed wrong ratings being used before, but I tried searching for some of these and witnessed 10s of thousands of rating:explicit in questionable category.
For example try searching (rating:explicit uncensored) and (rating:explicit pussy -uncensored).
Can you bulk change these ratings or something like that?
I have been using this site for a long time and I thought maybe I could contribute with info. :D

Yup, this is a problem. Plenty of hardcore sex images marked "questionable", while some artistic nudity-like images are marked "explicit" as if they were explicit sex being displayed.

Unfortunately only Admins (I think moderators can too? Not sure) can bulk edit tags, because trolls and immature people would abuse this feature by mass mistagging images.

Hope they see this and make a change.

Rating:questionable is the default rating. It must be changed by the user to something else when uploaded if needed.

Our mass edit tool can only work on searchable lists. Since tags like uncensored may be missing from many posts (or used wrongly) we can't do edits like that without potentially creating as many bad ratings as we fix.

Exposed genitals are always rating:explicit even of artistic. Pussy and labia tags have been aliased so not all posts with the pussy tag have exposed pussy; I can't use this for a mass edit either.

Shame that it seems that this website often seems to have hangups when it comes to what should be quick fixes. Usually other websites would have a rather simple fix for this. Really hope this changes soon.


I'm pretty sure I've been told the opposite in the past. As in, questionable images can have the pussy or the penis showing casually as long as it isn't deemed too "explicit" (such as a deep close up, masturbation, sex, spreading buttcheeks, etc.)

Yesterday I decided to go and check the sensitive and general ratings. I often have them blacklisted.

And the first thing I see is this, as "sensitive" post #9482131 I despise Danbooru's move of forcing a new rating. Safe was easy to understand. It worked, for many many years.

Now we have A TON of posts with wrong ratings, so so many old actually safe posts that got the sensitive rating because it is just the safe rating renamed and people using the new sensitive rating for really lewd stuff that was way too lewd for the old safe rating all lumped together. And the general rating for ecchi. I better keep those 2 ratings blacklisted to avoid frustration.

At this point it's just a mess. Funny how I thought the "General" and "Sensitive" would eventually be sorted out, but almost two years later it's still an uncorrected mess.

I get it's Danbooru's fault, but I'd at least hope this site had tried to protest some of those changes in the past.

Also it's far too embedded into me that questionable can contain pussy slips and nude bodies, so honestly I'm just going to tag as best I see fit.

by now i'm used to it, and the only ones i still have problems with is between "sensitive" and "questionable". sometimes i even just carelessly misqualify them, as i tend to mark everything as "explicit" and then forget to change it, sometimes i notice it right away and change it and sometimes i don't notice it for a while after.

Well for one thing I know the number of uncensored images that are non-explicit is much much less than the number of uncensored misplaced in questionable... So changing uncensored images to explicit rating won't do any harm without any doubt.
But for the pussy tag I agree with you... seen many of these pussy tags on non-genital showing images.
