little known vegeta fact- Vegeta had an older brother named Tables.

Combime the names, and you get a rough translation of the word "vegtables",

Tarble, and he's a younger brother.
The vegetable-saiyajin thing comes from a japanese pun, Toriyama was very fond of them.
Yasai is vegetable in japanese, switch around the kana and you get saiya.
