Yes I did not pay very much attention to the characters as I found the game boring after a while. I'm sure the final fantasy games have a lot of great story elements and I do like story but I never got into the gameplay long enough to actually care for it. My last encounter was the one where I had to run away from a bounty hunter and considering it was a final fantasy game I assumed that was a early point in the game because they are fucking LONG.
