Although, now that I've looked it up, claspers are HUGE compared to this, but adequately sized to hold on to the female. You know, because they're underwater and don't drift apart while they're mating?

So, to add to this 10 year old debacle: not a single one of you brought up the fact that these claspers are completely useless for humanoids. They should be, like, 6 times larger than this. Like, big enough to wrap around the male's waist all the way around the back, or around the buttocks.
