they changed her so much than you can say they replaced her.
fRlG redesign where what happened when a company do a good work modernising the characters, while still staying true to their original self. ORAS redesign was a massive major finger raised to the old version of the game. (i'm talking only about aqua and magma admin redesign, the gym leader and elite 4 are good, and aside from that, the games are excellent)
