Yeah I feel like they were starting to run out of budget or time on the last episode. This and a few other shots like the part where Papi picks him up and takes off out of the house looked a little rough.

That probably was the case, in the previous episode all of the girls slide into the hallway statically, rather than walk or run into the hallway. While you could argue that's for comedic effect, and it essentially is, it's also a bit of a budget saver. Same deal with Kill la Kill and other recent anime. It's a bit of a tragedy that animation is really expensive and time consuming but nobody gives a damn.

I've changed my mind a bit - the real tragedy is having to say goodbye to them like that. Suu my heartstringssss
