in truth, they never use their strongest attack first because it then gives the opponent an estimation of their abilities. humans, as a species, are lazy. we do only what is necessary, and nothing more. as such, in battle, we WOULD gauge our opponent, and only use the strength needed to defeat them, and nothing more. obviously some people dont follow this, and 'give it their all'. if the attack at the beginning truly is his most powerful attack, then that means nothing that follows will be as bad, which would mean if you can survive it, you can survive absolutely anything. in that respect, it might also be a kind of respect, or perhaps a taunt.. holding back your power to have fun with your opponent, or give them a fighting chance. after all, wheres the fun in a fight you know youre going to win?

If you knew about the sans fight you'd know that he will do anything and everything to make you rage quit. The point of using the strongest attack first is to not give your enemy a chance to get a chance to do anything. Kill 'em right away, plain and simple.
