I remember this from the anime. It's so depressing that I almost felt sorry for Oichi in a way but at the same time, the way she was treated in Capcom's adaptation is nowhere near close to how she acted in real life. Her downward spiral and demonic possession was just forced so that she would become somewhat of a villain.

^She's not even a villain in any version of Basara. She's more of a tragic character.

The way the real Oichi acted is still tragic, considering that there are multiple accounts on her life.

In real-life, Nagamasa was understanding of her actions and allowed her to leave with their children (minus the son) before the siege of Odani Castle.
